The Legend of Titanica specially designed talk to commemorate the centenary of Titanic

Wednesday 25th April, 7pm

What is it that fascinates us about Titanic 100 years on?  This illustrated talk will reveal all, examining why the greatest and most famous ship in history still captures our imagination.  Your presenter Sean Szmalc is a Titanic enthusiast since childhood and an avid collector of Titanic and White Star Line artefacts.  His collection is now a travelling  exhibition named Titanic: Honour and Glory.  Come along to The Tall Ship and have all of your Titanic questions answered.  Refreshments will be available.

Tickets £7, available from The Tall Ship on 0141 330 9075 or in-person from our ticket office.

G.I. Festival (Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art)

Nothing About Us, Without Us, Is For Us

Saturday 28th April, 1pm- 4pm

A public art event using obsolete technology to hurl language across the River Clyde. A week of activity in the studios and workshops of Govan will culminate in a one-day celebration of the impossibility of communication. Transmissions will be attempted from both sides of the River using smoke signals, string-and-cup telephones, messages-in-bottles, choral serenades, and more.  The Tall Ship crew will begin signaling across the Clyde to Govan from Friday 20th April, using ship's signal flags as a means of communication. The activities end with a day of events on Saturday 28th April.  For more information please visit www.glasgowinternational.org
