Well, we are now into our 5th week of being open at the new location...and everything is going swimmingly!
Visitor numbers are riding high and the feedback we've been getting from the public has been fantastic. You've told us that your favourite attractions at The Tall Ship are the refurbished Captain's cabin, the children's play area and our interactive exhibits. Thanks to everyone who has provided us with feedback, we do take your comments on board. Get in touch through the Contact Us section of the website, or sign up as a friend on Facebook and leave your comments there. (you can also fill in a form at our ticket office)
Our younger visitors have been enjoying our daily Captain's Challenge and Mouse Hunt, which are great to do together as a family. We've also never heard the ship's bell being rung quite so often, or quite so loudly! (although we suspect that this activity is not confined to the youngsters!)
We are now also showing a short cartoon, daily between 12pm and 4pm, featuring our 'mascot' Jock the Cat and his adventures with some Pirate Mice and as always, you can watch archive film footage of The Tall Ship, and other similar vessels on screen in our cargo hold cinema and just outside the engine room.
Don't forget, you can take an in-depth tour around the ship with our all-new audio guide facility, which is great for learning about the different areas of the ship and how they originally operated. We also offer volunteer lead guided tours, every Wednesday at 11.30am and 2pm.
Well, that's all for now. Thanks for reading! We'll be blogging again soon.
Over and Out.....
